Shubhashis is the Director of Climate Policy Program at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (Shakti) with 19 years of experience in advising government, multilateral, bilateral organizations and business in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Jordan, and United Kingdom on projects related to energy efficiency and climate change in sectors such as industry, appliances, transport, forestry, water, urban infrastructure, and buildings. He provides strategic planning and leadership to Shakti’s Climate Policy and Clean Energy Finance Programs and leads initiatives on strengthening modelling capacities for India’s climate action decision making.

Prior to joining Shakti in 2016, Shubhashis was working with Ernst & Young as Manager – Climate Change and Sustainability Services, and has worked with Sodexo, Eaga Energy and McKinnon & Clarke in the past. He is a Postgraduate in Energy Management from Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, Kolkata, and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from RCOEM, Nagpur University.
